Americana Photo Shoot with Team ’17

Late last month, we were able to assemble most of the members of our Class of 2017 Senior Model Team for an Americana/4th of July themed photo shoot. Our senior portrait studio in Kansas City is well known for the creative shoots we do, not only with our model team but our high school seniors as well. The patriotic theme was chosen earlier this year and we created a Pinterest Board for the girls to use as inspiration for outfit choices.

On the day of our photo session, it was unseasonably warm but that didn’t stop our plans or the spirit of our girls. We loaded up two wagons of photo gear and props and headed to our shoot location, a nearby park in Kansas City. The combination of the vintage, wood buildings, open fields and the overall rustic setting fit our vision perfectly. We even created a custom Snapchat filter for the girls to use for their selfies.

We loved the variety in outfits our models chose for themselves. At our senior portrait studio, we really focus on fashion when we help a client prepare for their special day with us and that is another reason we offer our Couture Closet, to help style those that need some assistance in putting together the perfect look.

We spent the better part of two hours photographing the girls in various locations and scenes. They were highly entertained when we pulled out our drone for some added creativity with our images and video. They all took turns capturing memories of the day by taking over our Snapchat story and we created some spectacular images of them, shooting all of the way up until sunset.

No Model team photo shoot is complete with out some sort of food and since it was hot that day, we all headed to Baskin Robbins for some refreshing ice cream. It was a very fun shoot for all and we are looking forward to many more creative shoots with our Senior Model Team this year.
